This shouldn’t be the first review of this book because it’s simply a great novel. It’s as engaging, readable, and exciting as the 5 before it. However, there’s the added benefit in this book of underlying pointed social commentary regarding the horrors and waste of war, killing, and arrogance (take note, President Bush).

When i bought this book on Amazon i never got it because it was lost in hurricane Katrina. However, I did buy the book at Border’s and it was a good addition to the Darren Shan saga.

Well,ok,best book ever.I thought the firs five were great but this blew them away with all the twist and turns. Darren’s courage was breathtaking. This book left you woundering till the very end. The relationship between the vampaneze and te vampires is explained further and the conflict between them. I highley recemond to anybody that can read that you should read this book.

OH MY GOD, this book is definetely the best! I’d say this book is one of the saddest in the series so far, I cried when **** and ****** died, but bellowed my delight when ***** was *********! This book’s twist at the end and the teaser for Hunters of the Dusk shall leave you hanging at the edge of your seat, begging bloodthirstily for more!
